Indigenous peoples around the Earth deeply understand the interwoven relationships between all beings. Indigenous Elders speak of the individual and collective responsibility we all have to be in a healthy and reciprocal relationship with the Earth, ourselves, and with each other. This may be more important now than any time in history. As we witness and experience the impacts of a climate crisis, global pandemic, wars, conflicts, and injustices, it is easy to feel overwhelmed at times. Sharing and practicing ways to support our own well being can strengthen our relationships with all of Creation. Carolynne includes a trauma informed approach in all of her work that embodies a social justice lens to each of her sessions. Carolynne embraces the Mi’kmaw concept of Etuaptmumk (two eyed seeing) that Elder Albert Marshall speaks about widely.

Carolynne has also been a keynote speaker and spoken on panels on the subject of the climate crisis, food sovereignty, and health and wellness.

Using an equity lens Msit No’kmaq rates are higher for those institutions that can afford it while creating opportunity for smaller organizations with little to no budget to access these sessions.

All My Relations (Webinar or In-person)

Carolynne will share her experiences and learnings from the land along with common threads of Indigenous perspectives around the Earth that have guided her to build responsible and reciprocal relations with the lands, waters, and all beings since a young child. She will create opportunities for reflection by breaking down colonial and capitalistic ways of thinking that can disconnect people from the Earth. She will offer guided sensory experiences to tune in and connect deeper with all of the beings. Length of session: 60 to 120 minutes; Also offered as a two part series for deeper understanding

Canada’s Colonial Past & Present

Carolynne will provide a brief overview of Canada’s colonial history and some of its impacts upon the lands, waters, and beings from coast to coast to coast. She will speak of current colonial systems that continue to oppress the land along with ways to build respectful and reciprocal relationships with Indigenous communities. She will speak of the individual and collective responsibilities we all have living and working on Turtle Island. Length of session: 90 to 120 minutes

Wellness for Body, Mind, & Spirit (Webinar or In-person)

Carolynne will share the importance of self care and coping strategies that support one's wellbeing as people recover and continue to experience challenging times of the impacts of the global pandemic, climate crisises, and injustices. People are experiencing higher levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. Carolynne will share about western science, holistic nutrition, and the practice of forest therapy/bathing all to destress and to support ones' immune system and overall well-being. This will be an interactive session with guided sensory experiences. Length of session: 60 to 90 minutes

With the new year in full swing, and work being very busy for everyone, we wanted to provide our team with both a reminder to take care of themselves and also an opportunity to understand ways they can do this. Carolynne presented to our team on wellness for mind, body and spirit from an Indigenous lens, providing short sensory experiences along the way allowing us each to connect with nature from the comfort of our own homes. The experience allowed everyone a chance to “disconnect”, recenter and take a moment to appreciate the beauty of everything around them. Using the chat function on Zoom, we had the most engagement I have ever seen from participants who were sharing how they felt, words of gratitude, and an honest outpouring of compassion. As a group of employees working in a big corporate environment, this was truly a unique experience that served as a reminder to appreciate everything around us, show gratitude to all and to prioritize our own well-being even in the most hectic times. Live Audio Forest Therapy Experience (Virtual)

Carolynne will guide a live, one hour virtual forest therapy experience through zoom. Participants will call in through a local zoom number from their front or backyards, balcony, local park, or even from a window. Participants will have one ear plug in and one out so they can tune into their surroundings. Carolynne will offer a series of invitations for participants to explore and connect with their natural surroundings. This is an opportunity to de-stress and slow down while experiencing the many benefits of nature. Explore the possibilities of connecting with yourself, others, and the Earth through this practice. Length of session: 60 to 90 minutes

Forest Therapy Walk (In-person)

Carolynne, a Forest Therapy Guide, Mentor, and Trainer for more than five years will focus upon breaking down colonial ways of thinking that separate people from their natural surroundings through building reciprocal relations with the land. Carolynne will guide a Forest Therapy walk and share Indigenous perspectives to support participants to slow down and to connect with All Beings using all of their senses. Length of session: 90 to 120 minutes

I have been collaborating with Carolynne for 2 years and I hope to work with her for many more. Nature Walk

Carolynne will guide an interactive walk that will create opportunities for participants to connect deeper with themselves, each other, and with the Earth. Carolynne will share about the foods and medicines growing on the land, Indigenous perspectives of being in a healthy and reciprocal relationship with the Earth, along with scientific studies that measure the many health benefits of spending time with Nature. Length of session: 90 to 180 minutes
